Scam season is still in full swing! Within the last two hours, we've received multiple reports from community members who were contacted by scammers spoofing the Kendall County Sheriff's Office phone number. The caller falsely claimed the individual had a warrant for failure to appear for jury duty and demanded they either turn themselves in or pay an $8,000 fine.

 

Please remember: The Kendall County Sheriff's Office will NEVER call to collect money over the phone. If you receive such a call, hang up immediately and report it to us.
