SCAM ALERT!!!!!!

Attention Kendall County residents: We have been notified of a scam involving fraudulent individuals impersonating law enforcement officers. These scammers are calling residents, claiming to be Kendall County Sheriff's Office Deputies or Boerne Police Department Investigators, and falsely stating that the resident has outstanding warrants. They demand immediate payment (gift cards, money order) over the phone, threatening further charges if payment isn't made.

IMPORTANT: No legitimate law enforcement agency will ever ask for payment over the phone.

Here are some tips to protect yourself:

Never provide personal information, credit card details, or payment over the phone.

Verify any suspicious calls by directly contacting the Sheriff's Office or Boerne PD using official numbers.

Be cautious of callers pressuring you for immediate action or using threats.

If in doubt, hang up and report the call to local authorities.
