Today we would like to take a moment to remember our fallen Deputy Carlos Aaron Ramirez. On July 2nd, 2019, Deputy Ramirez was conducting a traffic stop on IH10 near the 533 MM when he was struck by a passing vehicle. Deputy Ramirez paid the ultimate sacrifice that day and the office has never been the same since. Deputy Ramirez not only served this community but also served this nation in the US Army and was still an active reservist. He left behind his beautiful wife, Jessica, and his son Alex and daughter Ava. The blue line got a little bit thinner that day and his infectious smile and charismatic personality are missed dearly.
