Lieutenant Shad Prichard has been with the Kendall County Sheriff's Office since 2005. His current position is Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division. He has previously served as a Patrol Corporal, Administration Sergeant, Patrol Sergeant and Commander of the Patrol Division.

Prior to 2005, Lieutenant Prichard served eight years as a Special Agent with U.S. ARMY Intelligence and Security Command. While in the service, he held the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6) and served in operations in Bosnia, Kuwait, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.

Lieutenant Prichard has received the Kendall County Sheriff's Office Deputy of the Year award for 2005 and is also the recipient of the Law Enforcement Gold Medal Award from the Veterans of Foreign War Department of Texas.

In addition to his normal duties, Lieutenant Prichard also commands the Honor Guard and is a certified instructor for firearms and crisis intervention.
