Mr. Bernarduci started his career with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and worked in both the patrol division and the jail. He moved to the Hill Country and worked for a short time for the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office.
He joined the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office in October 1994. He was promoted to Sergeant and eventually Jail Administrator in 1997. He served as the Jail Administrator until November 2002 at which time he retired. He returned to Kendall County as the Jail Administrator under the leadership of Sheriff Roger Duncan in January 2005.
Jim is dedicated to the proposition that service in the detention profession is an honorable way of life. Jim takes extreme pride in the professionalism of the detention staff and believes his staff to be among the best in the area.
