The Kendall County Commissioners Court has tasked the Sheriff’s Office to turn the Historic Kendall County Jail, into a Jail Museum.

Sheriff Duncan is asking volunteers to start a committee to assist in the development of the museum, and to maintain the displays and keep records of the items on display, as well as volunteers to be available during times of operation to give tours of the museum.

Sheriff Duncan is also asking the community for donations or loans of past local Law Enforcement materials, such as badges, guns, patches, or old photographs that could be professionally copied, as well as display cases.

These items will be secure in the jail behind locked doors with a state of the art alarm system. If you have any questions and would like to volunteer your services, please contact Sergeant Cody Neal at the Kendall County Sheriff’s office at 830-249-9721 or email cody.neal@kendallcountysheriff.com .
