On Tuesday June 9, 2009 Deputies of the Kendall County Sheriff's Office held a Senior Identification Card Day at the Rainbow Senior Center.

Over seventy two members of the Senior Center participated in the program. The event was sponsored by Ellen Damstra, Executive Director of the center.

The Sheriff's Office provides seniors with a photograph identification card with vital information including address, telephone numbers, emergency contact information and special medical information.

Not only did the deputies get to assist the members with this important program but also got to interact with some of Kendall County's finest citizens.

"We feel that it is extremely important that all seniors carry proper identification" stated Sheriff Roger Duncan, "This accurate information can be a tremendous asset in an emergency or a crisis situation".

If your group is interested in this program contact Deputy Hank Howell at 830-249-9721.
